Just the other day I watched the
movie Avatar. I don't know if you watched it, but if you didn't, in
short it is about another world that exist. The 'people' if you can
call them that, that live there is different than we are. Not only
do they look different, but none of them have any disabilities. The
one human that goes into their world is actually lame and cannot
walk, but when he goes into their world, he suddenly can walk and
even run. In their world he is free from the bondage of his
wheelchair.
Also in their world they have
divine forces that help them in their daily life. They can connect
to it by linking their hair to this celestial energy. They are then
united with their 'gods' who can help them in danger. It can also
help them with making life decisions and receiving advice from
their ancestors.
Now after the movie Avatar was
released I heard that people fell into what they called, the Avatar
Blues. People started feeling depressed and lonely and they started
longing for this world that doesn't exist. That was very strange to
me and I didn't understand why they felt that way, until I watched
the movie myself and then I understood. People long for a place
where they can be without any disabilities, a world where they can
connect with a celestial being and receive advice from it, a world
where they can belong. We all yearn for a better place and better
bodies to cope with the demands of this life. Especially if we look
at the suffering and the injustice all around us and experience the
intense pressure to cope in this money hungry world of ours. We
cannot help but wish for a way out of all of this! Our human bodies
are too fragile to cope with all the stress. Stress is literally
killing us, we need a way out.
Lucky for us there is a
way out. There is a better place. A much better place that
will make Avatar look like a joke! In this new place we will have
brand new bodies that will be so much better and so much stronger
than we can ever dream of. A new world is awaiting each of us. A
world where there will be no more sorrow, no more pain and no more
pressure. A world without the pressure of performing, being the
best and earning the most. A world where people won't
judge/admire you by the way you look. A world where we can life
forever and enjoy the presence of our almighty God. Yes, heaven is
awaiting us.
We need not feel depressed or
lonely, our time here in earth is so very short compared to
eternity in heaven. Heaven will be a place where all our
dreams will come true, a place where we can soar higher than
eagles. And the best part is that the Lord wants us all to be
there. He wants us to be with Him and to enjoy Paradise which He
created for us. He longs for us to come and drink of the living
water that will refresh us within and that will keep us revived and
exhilarated for all eternity to come.
"And the angel showed me a pure
river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the
throne of God and the Lamb, coursing down the center of the main
street." Revelations 22:1,2.
"The Spirit and the bride say,
'Come.' Let each one who hears them say, 'Come.' Let the thirsty
ones come - anyone who wants to. Let them come and drink the water
of life without charge." Revelations 22:17.
Thank you God that You created
heaven for all of us to look forward to. Thank you that You loved
us enough to grant us access to Your Kingdom. We look forward to
being with You. Amen.
